Community Guidelines

1. A Private Space Still Needs Clear Rules
MyPetVault Friends is an optional way to connect with people you know and privately exchange disappearing Stamp Drops of your pets. It has no public feed, publicly searchable posts, public gallery, random recipients, or anonymous matching. These Guidelines apply to your Friends profile, display name and avatar, friend requests, invite links and messages, contact-matching activity, Stamp Drops, reports, and any other content or conduct connected with Friends.
These Guidelines are part of the Terms of Service. Turning on Friends means you agree to follow both.
Friend codes and invite links are public identifiers, not passwords or proof that someone is trustworthy. A request must be accepted before a friendship exists. A sender must intentionally select an accepted friend before each share. Share only with people you intend to reach.
2. Content and Conduct That Are Not Allowed
Do not use MyPetVault to create, send, request, encourage, or distribute:
- Spam. Repeated unwanted friend requests, invitations, Stamp Drops, promotions, or other disruptive activity.
- Harassment, bullying, or threats. Content or behavior intended to intimidate, shame, target, stalk, or threaten another person.
- Sexual or explicit material. Pornography, nudity shared for sexual purposes, or other sexually explicit content.
- Sexual content involving minors. Any content that sexually exploits, depicts, solicits, or endangers a minor. This is never permitted.
- Violence or animal abuse. Graphic violence, credible threats, or content depicting, encouraging, or celebrating cruelty to an animal.
- Impersonation. Pretending to be another person or organization, or misrepresenting your relationship to them.
- Scams or deception. Fraudulent offers, misleading requests, phishing, or attempts to obtain money, credentials, access, or personal information.
- Illegal or infringing content. Content that violates law or another person's copyright, trademark, publicity, or other legal rights.
- Privacy violations. Another person's private, identifying, contact, account, or sensitive information shared without authorization.
- Content you cannot share. Any photo, note, or other material you do not own or do not have permission to send to the selected recipient.
Before a Stamp Drop is delivered, MyPetVault automatically checks its Memory note for a limited set of high-risk text patterns and rejects text the check flags. The check may miss harmful language or misunderstand context, and it does not mean an accompanying image has been approved. Every user remains responsible for everything they share.
3. Think Before You Send
A Stamp Drop is available through MyPetVault for one viewing session, but we cannot stop a recipient from taking a screenshot, making a screen recording, photographing the screen, or creating another copy. Do not send anything you would not want that person to keep.
Removing a friend, blocking someone, turning Friends off, or deleting a Memory may revoke access inside MyPetVault, but revocation may not stop a view already in progress and cannot retrieve a copy made outside the app.
Never treat a friend code, contact match, display name, or avatar as identity verification. If a request looks unfamiliar or suspicious, decline it.
4. How to Report and Block
You can report a Stamp Drop or another account from the relevant Friends, request, inbox, or Stamp-viewer menu. Choose the closest report reason and add only the details needed to explain the concern. Reports should be made in good faith.
You can also block a user from the same Friends surfaces. Blocking removes the relationship, cancels pending requests, and revokes active deliveries between you where technically possible. The blocked user is not told that you submitted a report. Unblocking does not restore an earlier friendship or delivery.
If an in-app report is unavailable, email support@mypetvault.org from the address on your account. Include the account or Stamp involved, what happened, and whether anyone faces an immediate safety risk. Do not email private images unless support specifically asks for them.
MyPetVault is not an emergency service. If someone is in immediate danger, contact local emergency services or the appropriate law-enforcement or animal-welfare authority.
5. What Happens After a Report
The reported content is removed from the reporter's view where the product supports that action. We record the report and may create a restricted evidence copy so the concern can be reviewed even if the sender later deletes the Memory or account.
We aim to begin reviewing reports within 48 hours. Urgent safety concerns are prioritized. Complex cases, incomplete information, weekends, or the need to preserve evidence may take longer, so this target is not a promise that every case will be resolved within 48 hours.
A review may result in no action, removal of a reported image or Stamp Drop, revoked access, a Friends restriction, an account suspension, an account termination, or another safety measure. MyPetVault may suspend or terminate an abusive account at any point. We may also preserve information or notify authorities when required by law or reasonably necessary to address an imminent threat.
For safety and privacy, we may not tell a reporter every action taken against another user or disclose confidential evidence, moderator notes, security signals, or another person's private information.
6. Appeals
If your Friends access or account was restricted and you believe the decision was wrong, email support@mypetvault.org from your account email. Use the subject “Friends restriction appeal,” explain why you believe the decision should be reconsidered, and include any relevant report or support reference.
A different reviewer may examine the available information when practicable. Submitting an appeal does not automatically restore access while the review is pending. Abuse of the appeal process, threats, or repeated duplicate submissions may be disregarded.
