I built the free plan to be useful on its own, not a trial that nags you to upgrade. If you have one pet and a manageable amount of paperwork, Free might be all you ever need. Here is the honest line between the two.

What you get on Free

Free covers one pet, with no card required to start. You get 200 MB of document storage, five lifetime Smart Scans for health documents plus two for rabies certificates, and the Smart Wizard review so no health record is saved until you say so. You can upload PDF, JPG, and PNG files up to 15 MB each, create a 30-day upload link or QR code so a clinic or caregiver can send records in, and review anything that arrives before accepting it. Records, reminders, contacts, microchip details, and insurance details can all be added by hand, and everything is searchable in the app. When you want to send a summary, the app prepares a record email in your own email app; on Free those emails do not include the original file attachments or download links. Memories stay on your phone on the Free plan.

In plain terms, Free is for getting one pet organized and seeing whether a digital vault fits your routine.

What Plus adds

Plus is built for multi-pet households and people with a lot of paperwork. It raises the limit to ten pets and 5 GB of document storage, and removes the lifetime Smart Scan cap, subject to reasonable daily safety limits. Memories move to the cloud, one per pet per day, so they survive a lost phone. Record emails can carry the original files attached or as secure download links that expire after 2 days. You also get Smart Contacts pulled from your uploaded documents, longer health reports covering up to 365 days with up to five report PDFs a day, and advanced calorie goals and tracking.

What it costs

Plus is 4.99 dollars a month. If you go yearly, it is 49.99 dollars charged once a year, which works out to about 4.17 dollars a month and saves 9.89 dollars compared with twelve monthly payments. Both options renew automatically until you cancel, and you can cancel anytime from your app store's subscription settings.

A simple way to choose

Pick Free if you have one pet, light paperwork, and mostly want a tidy, searchable place for records. Pick Plus if you have more than one pet, ongoing medications, frequent boarding or grooming, or you regularly need to send full records with the original files. The usual reasons to upgrade are the pet limit, the storage, and the sharing, not the scan count.

Either way, you start in the same place: add your first pet and upload a record. You can move up to Plus whenever your routine asks for it, not before.
